What's the last book you bought? ✨

These two were my latest book purchases... at the moment of taking this picture 🙈 I already bought one other book since 👀 (mere christianity by c. s. lewis, I really want to pick up more christian non-fiction!)

I have bought so many (too many) books this year and I have about 12 unread books at the moment which is a lot for me and I feel like it's a bit excessive so I will try and not buy any more books this year (other than Matthew Perry's memoir, that's a must 😅). With Christmas coming up I think that money can go somewhere better 🙌

I'm also saving up for a new phone and a kindle sooo... book buying ban it is 🤷‍♀️😅

But now back to the books in the picture. I'm really curious about both of these, they sound like something I could love but they're also a bit different to what I normally pick up so I'm really excited to read them 🥰 I'm pretty sure I ordered the orange cover for Bunny but I'm so happy I got the pink one!! It's much pinker than it's on the photo, it's like a neon highlighter pink, it's so pretty!

Also peep my new bedding! It's from the children's section of Ikea and it makes my bed look like a crib, but I really love it 😂

Happy Monday guys! ❤️ How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? ✨

Most of my weekend was spent listening to Midnights and I'm officially back in my swiftie era ✨ it's an unpopular opinion, but folklore and evermore are not my fave albums so midnights was such an unexpected surprise!! It's giving older Taylor vibes so I could get on board with this one 🙌

there are literally no skips for me but if I had to choose favorites these would be it:

I already ordered the vinyl which tells you how much I really love it because the only other album of hers that I own is fearless (which is my forever #1 🙌)

I also started playing with the sims 4 and I'm having so much fun with it! It's taking me back to my middle school days 😅

but now for the 13 books that for one reason or another have kept me up at night:

Colin Firth is THE man for me and my friends always laugh at me but I don't understand how they can't see it 🤷‍♀️😅

How do you unwind after a long day? ✨

This is pretty much how I end most of my days and I absolutely love it! I try to read a few chapters every night (doesn't always happen) and then watch at least one episode of Modern Family. I'm at the end of season 6 and I still love it so much! Most episodes make me cry, it always gets super emotional 👀😅

What are you guys watching at the moment? 😊 I'm always looking for good tv show recs, even though my to watch list is nearly as long as my tbr 👀

You guys were right, this book is fantastic and I'm going to make it my whole personality! 💁🏻‍♀️

I've actually never been prouder to be an Elizabeth! I could just pretend that Natahaniel was falling in love with me and calling me an absolute terror... in a totally normal and not at all weird way of course (👀)

Elisabeth, Nathaniel and Silas were all fantastic characters, it was such a joy to read about them! The book could have been a 1000 pages and I would still think it was too short. I didn't want to part with them, I love them so much!! ❤️😭 January can't come soon enough, I need the sequel novella asap!!

I could also rave about the plot, the setting, the writing, the cover... it's all so perfect! It had everything I love in a book and it might be my favorite book of 2022! (it's veeeery close to The Scorpio Races and I can't choose between the two 🙈)

Also the concept?! Books that are alive and have feelings? They talk to you and have personalities? It's so magical and truly a book lovers dream come true!

I will be piciking up Margaret Rogerson's other books next year for sure! 🙌

Have you read any good memoirs lately or do you have any non-fiction recommendations? ✨

I'm not a non-fiction reader but this memoir makes me think that I could love this genre if I picked up the right books!

I had such a fantastic time reading Everything I Know About Love, it's an incredible book and I almost want to say that it's a must read in you're 20s.

Reading this book is almost like reading Dolly's personal diary in that she shows every aspect of her life not just the pretty parts. She doesn't only write about times when she was a supportive friend, a successful writer or a well adjusted grown up (is there even such a thing?)

Dolly lets us see the not so pretty parts as well. When she's being selfish and a bad friend or when she's struggling with addictions and her body image. She lays herself bare in this book, which gives it that human touch that makes this book so brilliant.

Reading Dolly's words felt like talking to a big sister. A big sister that wants to tell you everything she learnt so far about friendship and love so you don't make the same mistakes that she's made but also a big sister that you know would drop everything at a moment's notice to come and cheer you up when you inevitably do make those same mistakes.

I loved everything about this book and can only recommend it! ❤️

This was supposed to be my October tbr post, but I realized I have way too many books so now it's my fall tbr 😅 (and I have two more books for fall on the way 👀)

I went a little overboard with picking out books for this season, but I'm just SO excited about all of these 🙈 my most anticipated from this stack is Babel, which I have heard fantastic things about so I cannot wait to get to that!

I'm currently reading Sorcery of Thorns and it's such a unique story!! I'm only 150 pages in but I already know it's going to be a new favorite 🥰

I'm also rereading The Spanish Love Deception but I'm taking it very slow as I'm trying to annotate it. I inhaled it the first time I read it, so it's a really different experience!
